I dropped in one Sunday a.m. when I wad running late for my own church service. This Baptist church is one mile from my home. There were about 12 ppl in attendance including the preacher&his wife. There was absolutely no life, energy, or youth in the church. The music was as lifeless as the environment was. When the minister started preaching about beating kids with a leather strap to put respect back in our schools, that was a red flag to me&explained why no one attends this little church any more. The minister asked me on the way out what church I was from. When I told him a local evangelical Wesleyan, I could tell by the look on his face he did not approve. I predict this church will not survive unless there is revitalization revival and renewal allowed to take over.
